Six Degrees Networking

21st Sep 2017

6 Degrees is a Cardiff-based networking group set up by our Project Management Director, Paul Wong. Held quarterly, the events bring together key players from the Welsh business community.

The name comes from the well-known theory "Six Degrees of Separation", where everyone is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world.

Speaking of how the networking group started, Paul Wong said, "We held our first dinner in late 2014 and it was a resounding success. It was decided to roll the dinners out as quarterly events based on its popularity.

"We believe people want relaxed, fun evenings with good networking. Bringing together companies we enjoy working with as co-hosts allows for easy introductions and good conversations. This has helped many new relationships to develop which is the route to good business. We also try to make entertainment top-class and memorable; with Rod Woodward this month and Peter Karrie in December, we know we are guaranteed great evenings."

The next event is being held on 21st September at The Classroom on Dumballs Road, where the award-winning and hugely popular comedian Rod Woodward, will be performing an intimate one-off gig.

Each networking event has a different fundraising focus, with the next raising money for Orkidstudio, who work to benefit communities through innovative architecture and construction.
